Who We Are
Tanzania Women for Environment Initiative (TAWEI) is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) based in Dar es salaam. It was registered in 1st June 2023 in Tanzania mainland under NGO Act 2002 with Registration Number OONGO/R/ 4859. TAWEI has the motives and commitment of promoting gender equality, amplifying women voices and advancing inclusive and sustainable environmental solutions that benefit all members of the society.
VISION
To have a community with women who are engaged in environmental conservation activities with enough knowledge and understanding in environmental issues.
MISSION
To be the number one institution in Tanzania that aims to bring major changes in Environmental sector by motivating women to be part of environmental care by providing them with education, building their capacity by seminars and conferences and direct participation in environmental conservation activities.
